8 Slices of Cake
This is a fantastic and beautiful game, but I ran into this and I hope it helps. Bug report: When the game starts and I hit down, I get the following crash.

I actually can't reproduce it now. It may have been after a couple of game overs or restarts, I am not certain. The updated version with mouse support crashes Pico-8 on launch on my Raspberry Pi. Does the same thing on the GameShell. I kept a copy of the old version which still works. I'm not sure if anything else changed with the update, but I really like this game even so long after Christmas! Pieces of Cake. Subscribe to this Thread Receive email notifications.

Hi Michele! That happens because the edges of the pan bake the sides of the cake quickly and the middle takes longer and continues to rise. Glass pans cause this to happen more dramatically than light-colored metal pans do so if you can use metal pans you'll have flatter cakes. You can also wrap the pans with cake strips to insulate them, though commercial cake strips might not reach all the way around a pan that size. You can make your own cake strips by fully wrapping damp paper towel strips in tin foil and then wrapping that around the edge of the pan.
Are there any requirements to use this recipe to bake a sheet cake Hi, Rosalie.
Approximate Servings (Slices) Per Cake (By Size)
Our Classic Birthday Cake makes a fantastic sheet cake. It works best in a 9" by 13" pan — if you only have a 9" by 11" pan, you might want to make 3 to 4 cupcakes with some of the batter to prevent it from overflowing in the oven. You'll have excess frosting if you make the entire frosting recipe; if you don't want to end up with leftover frosting, consider making a half recipe which will frost the cake minimally , or a three-quarter recipe which will frost it more generously. 8 Slices of Cake That Are to Die For
View all posts by Kye Ameden. I know this article is about cake but if you want to cut brownies without making a big, sticky mess, use a disposable plastic knife. Makes nice, clean cuts without sticking. And you can wash your plastic "brownie" knife to use again! I know I may be biased, but a truly good baker is a bit OCD. Score each layer half way up around the outside edge This is really helpful. I have used instructions that say put toothpicks around the cake to mark where to put the floss, but for me the floss always slips.
Scoring the cake and putting the floss into the scored indention to start sounds like a great solution Thanks Donna. Your email address will not be published. About text formats.
